Flight-Critical Hydraulic Repair — Built on DoD Heritage
Mercury Hydraulics started as a hydraulic systems design and manufacturing company for Department of Defense contracts. That military-grade precision — documentation, traceability, zero tolerance for failure — is built into every aerospace and defense repair we do today.
Born From Military Standards
Mercury Hydraulics was not built as a general repair shop that later added aerospace work. We were founded as a hydraulic systems design and manufacturing company for Department of Defense contracts — building flight-critical components from the ground up, to military specifications, with full documentation and traceability.
That foundation shapes everything we do. When an L3 Harris engineer sends us a hydraulic actuator for repair, or a Collins Aerospace supplier needs a custom hydraulic component manufactured to drawing, they are working with a shop that understands what "flight-critical" actually means — not just as a marketing phrase, but as a standard of work.
We are located at 7610 Coral Dr, Melbourne, FL 32904 — minutes from Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, and the largest concentration of aerospace and defense contractors in the southeastern United States. That proximity matters: when a component is grounding an aircraft or holding up a launch campaign, being 15 minutes away is not a coincidence. It is part of the value we provide.
Aerospace & Defense Hydraulic Components We Repair
Flight Control Actuators
Hydraulic actuators for flight control surfaces — ailerons, elevators, rudders, spoilers. Full disassembly, inspection, seal replacement, and pressure testing to spec.
Landing Gear Cylinders
Main gear, nose gear, and retraction cylinders. We re-hone bores, replace seals and bearings, and restore to OEM dimensions with documented inspection reports.
Hydraulic Manifolds & Valves
Hydraulic manifold blocks, selector valves, check valves, and pressure relief valves. Cleaned, inspected, rebuilt, and flow-tested.
Ground Support Equipment
Hydraulic systems for aircraft ground support equipment — jacks, tow vehicles, maintenance platforms, and test stands. Repair and custom manufacturing.
Custom Component Manufacturing
When the OEM part is obsolete, backordered, or unavailable, we manufacture to drawing using SolidWorks CAD, CNC plasma cutting, and precision machining.
Emergency AOG Support
Aircraft on ground situations require fast turnaround. We offer priority scheduling for AOG hydraulic component repair — call (321) 312-0689 directly.
Quality, Documentation & Traceability
Aerospace and defense customers have documentation requirements that general repair shops cannot meet. We understand this because we were built to those standards from day one. Every aerospace repair at Mercury Hydraulics includes inspection documentation, material traceability where required, and pressure test records.
Pressure Testing
Full pressure testing up to 10,000 PSI with documented test records. We test to your spec or to OEM requirements.
Material Traceability
Seal kits and replacement parts sourced from qualified suppliers with material certifications available on request.
Inspection Reports
Written inspection reports documenting pre-repair condition, work performed, and post-repair test results.
Who We Serve on the Space Coast
Brevard County is home to one of the densest concentrations of aerospace and defense contractors in the United States. Kennedy Space Center, Patrick Space Force Base, and the commercial launch facilities at Cape Canaveral are all within 30 miles of our shop. We serve the entire ecosystem:
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mercury Hydraulics have AS9100 certification?
Mercury Hydraulics operates with AS9100-aware processes developed through decades of DoD contract work. We work closely with our aerospace customers on documentation, traceability, and quality requirements. Contact us to discuss your specific certification requirements — in many cases we can meet your quality plan needs without a formal certification requirement.
Can you manufacture custom aerospace hydraulic components to drawing?
Yes. We have in-house SolidWorks CAD capability, CNC plasma cutting, precision tube bending up to 2" Schedule 160, and full machining capabilities. When an OEM part is obsolete, backordered, or unavailable, we can manufacture a replacement to your drawing or reverse-engineer from the original part.
What is your typical turnaround time for aerospace hydraulic repair?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days for most hydraulic cylinder and actuator repairs. For AOG (aircraft on ground) situations, we offer priority scheduling — call (321) 312-0689 directly and we will discuss what is possible. We have completed same-day repairs for mission-critical situations.
Do you work on both military and commercial aerospace hydraulics?
Yes. Our DoD heritage means we are comfortable with both military specifications and commercial aerospace quality requirements. We work on components for military aircraft, commercial aviation, space launch vehicles, and defense ground support equipment.
Can I ship hydraulic components to you from outside Florida?
Absolutely. We receive components from aerospace and defense contractors across the country. Ship to 7610 Coral Dr, Melbourne, FL 32904. Include your contact information and a description of the issue. We will inspect, provide a quote, and ship back once approved.
