Hydraulic Pressure Testing & Certification
Full pressure testing up to 10,000 PSI with documented certification. Meet aerospace, defense, marine, and industrial standards — with written test reports for every component.
Why Certified Pressure Testing Matters
A hydraulic cylinder that looks repaired isn't the same as one that's been verified. Pressure testing to the component's rated working pressure — or beyond — is the only way to confirm that seals are holding, welds are sound, and the component is fit for service. For aerospace, defense, and marine applications, documented testing isn't optional: it's a contractual and regulatory requirement.
Mercury Hydraulics has been performing certified hydraulic pressure testing for over 40 years. Our test bench is capable of pressures up to 10,000 PSI — covering the full range of industrial, marine, and aerospace hydraulic systems. Every test is performed by experienced technicians and fully documented.
We provide written certification packages that include test pressure, hold time, pass/fail results, and technician sign-off. These documents are accepted by aerospace primes, defense contractors, marine classification societies, and industrial compliance programs.
Every hydraulic repair and rebuild we perform — including components that undergo pressure testing — is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. If a defect in our work causes a failure within 12 months of service, we make it right at no charge.
Components We Test
Our Testing Process
Every pressure test follows a documented four-step process — from initial inspection to final certification.
Component Inspection
Before any pressure test, we perform a full visual and dimensional inspection to identify cracks, corrosion, or structural issues that could compromise the test or indicate a deeper problem.
Test Setup & Calibration
We connect the component to our calibrated test bench and set the target pressure per your specification or industry standard. All gauges and instruments are regularly calibrated and traceable.
Pressure Test & Hold
The component is pressurized to the specified test pressure and held for the required duration. We monitor for any pressure drop, external leakage, or deformation throughout the hold period.
Documentation & Certification
Test results are recorded including test pressure, hold time, pass/fail status, and technician signature. A written certification package is provided with every test, suitable for aerospace, defense, and industrial compliance.
Industries We Certify For
Aerospace & Defense
Flight-critical and mission-critical hydraulic components require certified pressure testing with full documentation. We have served NASA, L3 Harris, and Collins Aerospace for decades.
Marine & Offshore
Steering systems, stabilizers, and deck equipment must be pressure tested before returning to service. We provide certified testing for vessels of all sizes.
Industrial & Construction
Heavy equipment operators and manufacturers require pressure testing for insurance compliance, warranty validation, and regulatory requirements.
